    I came fresh from the fire station, not knowing exactly what other brilliant things are in Ballarat. But the train station really does stand out. The accomodation is amazing and the trains are speedy as bro. People new only need to look here to find true happiness.

    Busy regional hub with busses, trains and an airport bus link as well. Friendly staff for information and tickets. Onsite cafe for a fast coffee and snack. Transport information boards advise of next bus and train departure. Plenty of seating undercover and indoors out of the weather.

    The photo that comes up on Google Maps for Ballarat Railway Station is the artists impression of the horrible block of 46 flats, (which have not been built and have nothing to do with the station). A photo of the beautiful existing nationally significant railway station built during the gold rush should be on this site instead.

    Trains rarely runs on time, but luckily the staff are very friendly... Good luck getting a car park :-(

    Probably one of the most gorgeous of the regional stations I have seen. Has the feel of a major station as well. Love the entry hallway, and the walkway across platforms.
